We have donated for many years to American Red Cross (www.redcross.org) in the USA for post-earthquake recovery in Haiti and to Philippine Red Cross (www.redcross.org.ph) after killer typhoon Haiyan three years ago. Last year, we quickly organized Tree Of Life 5K and donated to Tree Of Life * Or L'Simcha | Pittsburgh Jewish Congregation (www.tolols.org) and HIAS (www.hias.org) (formerly Hebrew Immigrant Assistance Society) after they were targeted by armed murderer."

"Closer to home," added Wind, "we support Falls Church-McLean Children's Center (www.fcmclcc.org) and Marathon Charity Cooperation (www.mc-coop.org), looking after the neediest children locally and worldwide."

"Beyond our charitable work, SHF also provides low-priced first-aid / AED / CPR training for race volunteers, coaches, physical therapists, parents of disabled children, and Virginia teachers, who are all required to pass first-aid certification classes. It's in our nature," concluded Wind.
