  • Make a left at the stoplight at Reservoir Road to go down the ramp to Fletcher's Cove

    Headphones and water belts:

  • Re personal listening devices, we follow USATF rule 144.3.b (Assistance to Athletes):
  • Because we must be able to communicate instructions to you at certain points in our races, we specifically allow wearing headphones during the race, but we specifically prohibit wearing headphones at these points:
      • Start line
      • Aid stations
      • Turnaround
      • Finish line
  • You may carry water or wear a hydration vest, but won't it slow you down? We have aid stations with water and Gatorade roughly every two miles.

    Timing System:

  • We use BOLT Simple Event Timing (bolt.bibs.run) -- an easily-transported and economical timing system -- powered by WebScorer
  • Please read these instructions:
  • On the back of your bib number, you see a 3"x5" plastic waterproof enclosure containing a BOLT timing chip that corresponds to your bib number
  • The plastic enclosure is firmly stapled teo the bib number, and the enclosure is zipped tight to be waterproof
  • BOLT timing chips are NOT disposable -- they cost us about $3.00 assembled
  • So the waterproof envelope is designed for re-use at multiple races
  • If you plan to pick up your bib number but not run the race, in that case, please detach the enclosure and hand it to the registrar. You may keep the bib but please return the chip unused
  • Before and during the race, please do not remove the chip from its enclosure, and please do not detach the enclosure from your bib number
  • The enclosure should stay safe on the back of your bib number, but if the enclosure slips off during the race, please pick it up off the ground and convey it to the finish line
  • Immediately after the race, THEN please detach the plastic envelope enclosing the timing chip and deposit it into the basket at the finish line
