Olympic Coach Barry Ross comes to the Washington DC area
Nationally-renowned track & field coach Barry Ross comes to the Washington DC area for the weekend on August 18-21 for a series of coaches' meetings, seminars, and track & field meets.

Thursday, August 18, 6:00-8:00 PM: Book signing of Coach Ross's "Underground Secrets of Faster Running" and free speed clinic at Pacers Running Store, 3100 Clarendon Boulevard, Arlington VA,

Sunday, August 21, 8:30-9:30 AM: Coach Ross will attend Potomac Valley Track Club's all-comers meet at Falls Church High School in VA.
Sunday, August 21, 11:00 AM-3:00 PM: Coach Ross will attend Maryland Senior Olympics at Howard Community College in Columbia MD, to lead seminars and training sessions.

Coach Ross has extensive coaching credentials for both young athletes, adults, and seniors, at all levels from beginners to Olympic champions.
His brief biography:
Coach Barry Ross has coached at both the high school level, community college level, and Olympic level. He worked with Olympic Team head coach Tommie Smith, 1968 Olympic champion in the 200 meters and with Pam Spencer Marquez, three-time Olympian and head coach of the U.S. Women’s team participating in the Friendship Games in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1999 and head coach of the U.S. Women’s team in the World indoor championships in Great Britain, 2003.
Coach Ross has trained many top competitors:
World's fastest 200m runner in 2003 (at age 17)
Senior women’s indoor sprint champion and outdoor runner-up
World junior 100m champion and multiple runner-up
World junior gold medal/world record 400m relay member 2006
Multi-year high school national and state champion
Multiple national and state record holder
3 top 3 national track and field athletes
5 all-time top 10 California marks from 3 track athletes
10 California state meet medalists
Coach Ross was a member of the contract negotiating teams for several professional athletes in the NBA and NHL. In addition, he negotiated many national marketing and advertising contracts on behalf of individual athletes as well as national and international corporations.
